CASA - Colombian American Services Association 

Events for April:

* In May we will be offering the seminar about mortages, home purchasing, and government-sponsored programs. The cost of this seminar is $5 and it includes a snack, informative material and the presentations. Seating is limited. To register and obtain more information, please call (305) 463 7468 ext. 109. 

Justice for Victims and Justice for All
The Miami-Dade Police Service Department will be offering this event for the victims of domestic violence. CASA will be actively participating in this event 
Place: Stephen P. Clark Center, Downtown Miami (111 N.W. 1st St.)
Time: 9am to 4pm 
Date: Friday April 18th, 2008 

Distric 6 Spring Festival
The office of the commissioner Rebeca Sosa from District 6 invites you to its Spring Festival. CASA will present as well as South Florida Worksforce, Metro Team, among others.

Time: 11am to3pm

Defending our Rights 101: Families Fighting to Stay Together
A seminar for families who are at risk for deportation procedures only. 
Place: Jacques Desalines Community Center (8325 NE 2nd Ave, Miami FL. 33137)
Time: 2 to 5pm

2008 Sexual Assault Awareness Event 
In this activity, we will inform the community about the available services in this matter.
Place: Alamo Park en el Jackson Memorial Hospital (1611 NW 12th Ave. Miami FL. 33136)
Time: 10am to 1pm
Date: Friday April 25th 2008 

Citizenship Drive 
We look forward to seeing you in our next Citizenship Drive. Fill out the N-400 form with experts.

As of 3/25/08 Gretchen has rescheduled the April 3th to 4th Miami Board Meeting to an April 3rd 9am to 12pm Phone Conference.

Special Notice of Intent to Fill Board Vacancies:

The Florida Network of Victim Witness Services is searching for qualified candidates to be a part of t he Board of Directors 

Individuals interested in being considered for a three year position or a one year appointed position must submit a letter of intent, an gency support letter and current resume. These documents must be received, at the address below, prior to May 15th 2008. The letter should include a brief statement of qualifications, background, and experience that would apply to filling a FNVWS board position. To be eligible for nomination, you must be a FNVWS member for a least one year.
