•           Served as the first head football coach for       Collinwood High School, Collinwood, Tennesseed, 1974-1979.
• Served as an Executive with the Boy Scouts of America in Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida, 1979-1997.
• Served with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice as the State Coordinator for the Faith Community Network and was responsible for coordinating the development of a comprehensive parttnership with faith communities in the 15 Juvenile Justice Districts, 1997- 2000.
• Served as State Executive Director for MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Florida. Responsible  for managing 25 local chapters and a $1.3 million budget, the implementation of public awareness and educational programs, public policy development and legislation, victim services, media advocacy as well as volunteer and staff development, 2000 - 2005.
• Returned to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice to serve as the Director for the department's Faith and Community Based Partnerships in the Office of Prevention and Victim Services, 2005
• Serves as a member of the Governor's Child Abuse Prevention and Permanency Advisory Council, Florida Substance Abuse Prevention Advisory Council and Underage Drinking Prevention Task Force.
• Nationally recognized for the development of boards, councils, volunteer recruitment, fund raising, strategic planning and the development of partnerships with faith and community based organizations.
